Meet the Creator, Kari
Hi, I’m Kari, the creator of WanderSlut and Cunning Linguist Co. I’m a queer woman who loves backpacking, bright colors, and wearing my politics proudly.
I created WanderSlut to be a home for my outdoor-inspired designs and because I don’t always feel represented by other outdoor-centric brands and communities. I believe everyone should be able to get out and enjoy nature, and I also understand that having access to and feeling welcome in outdoor spaces is not just a personal issue, it's a political one.
I can't solve all that by making cute pins and patches, but visibility matters. I choose to be visibly progressive and visibly queer in the hopes that, by doing so, I can make someone else feel a little more welcomed into the outdoor community. Nature is diverse, and so are the people who love it.
